Directions to Abington Friends School – ‘A’ Team Field in 2008

ABINGTON FRIENDS SCHOOL – Greenwood Avenue & Washington Lane

From 309: South on 309 to the end of the Expressway (Traffic Light). Turn LEFT onto Greenwood Lane.

Bear RIGHT at 1st traffic light (you are still on Greenwood after turning right). Follow approximately

1 mile to the Jenkintown train station. Cross over the bridge and bear RIGHT onto Township Line Road.

Turn LEFT at the next traffic light (Washington Lane). Follow Washington Lane approximately ½ mile

(you will cross Route 611) to ABINGTON FRIENDS SCHOOL (corner of Washington & Greenwood Avenue.

 

From the PA Turnpike: Exit 27 (Jenkintown / Doylestown). Take Route 611 SOUTH through Willow Grove

& Abington until you get to Jenkintown. Turn LEFT onto Greenwood Avenue (Drake Tavern on the

corner).Follow 1 block to Washington Lane. Turn LEFT. The field is on the right side of the road.

Directions to Alverthorpe Park  - ‘B1’ Team Field in 2008

ALVERTHORPE PARK

From 309: South on 309 to the end of the Expressway (Traffic Light). Turn LEFT onto Greenwood Lane.

Bear RIGHT at 1st traffic light (you are still on Greenwood after turning right). Follow approximately

1 mile to the Jenkintown train station. Cross over the bridge and bear RIGHT onto Township Line Road.

Turn LEFT at the next traffic light (Washington Lane). Follow Washington Lane approximately ½ mile

(you will cross Route 611) to the corner of Washington & Greenwood Avenue. Turn RIGHT onto

Greenwood Avenue. NOTE: after making the turn onto Greenwood Ave from

Washington lane,  bare right at the first stop sign, then proceed to Forrest Ave and turn left.

Go two traffic lights to Forest Avenue (approximately 1 /2 mile). Turn LEFT.

The fields are on the left side of the road - a few blocks from the corner of Greenwood Ave. and Forest.

 

From the PA Turnpike: Exit 27 (Jenkintown / Doylestown). Take Route 611 SOUTH through Willow Grove

& Abington until you get to Jenkintown. Turn LEFT onto Greenwood Avenue (Drake Tavern on the

corner).Follow 3 Greenwood to the 3rd traffic light which is Forest Ave. Turn LEFT. The field complex is 2 blocks

down the street on the left side of the street.

 

Directions to Jenkintown High School :  USED BY C TEAM IN 2007

 

Take 309 South to Greenwood Ave. exit(end of expressway)-Make a left

Take Greenwood Ave into Jenkintown and make a left at Walnut St.

While on Greenwood Ave.--when you past the Lukoil - stay in left lane over the bridge and make a left 

at traffic light and then a quick right to continue on Greenwood.

Field is one block up on left (good luck parking) 

                    OR 

Take 611 South into Jenkintown

Make a right on West Ave(2 lights past IHOP)

Go to next light(Walnut St) and make a left - field on right(good luck pa

Directions to ERNIE FIELD

Ernie Field the old Temple stadium. Located near Mt  Pleasant Avenue and Cheltenham Avenue .

 

Route 309 South to Paper Mill Road.

Right on Paper Mill Road

Approximate two traffic lights until Cheltenham Ave.

Left on Cheltenham Ave – you will pass LaSalle High School and Easton Road

Right on Mount Pleasant Avenue – three blocks to the field – left side of the Road
